London Gaita Social Club is an urban collective that plays and celebrates traditional Colombian music.  Bringing together native drums, Gaita flutes, maracas and vocals, LGSC fuses vibrant rhythms and soulful melodies that promote this rich cultural heritage. Drawing inspiration from the colourful  ‘Rueda de gaitas’, LGSC sets to transport its audience directly to the heart of Colombia, giving them a slice of the Caribbean.

 

Having played internationally and at numerous festivals such as London Jazz, Medicine Festival, Tropical Pressure, Wilderness Festival, Tonnau, Brighton Fringe and in many venues around London & Brighton such as Hootannany, The Fox and Firkin, The Post, The Jago & St Augustine’s Cultural Centre.
